In light of it being my 21st birthday I thought I would post this quiz on some of the things that happened in 1984. I must confess, Michael Jackson with his hair on fire would be the most humorous fact to me, and I'm sure Irene among a few others can appreciate the fact that the Oilers won the cup that year. :D As for the age, is it really different than any other? Ah, not really, the first thought would be that I can now drink legally in the US (and I say, "how does this affect me?"), and it has seemed to be the first thought of more than myself, haha. Sadly, (as you can see from the first thought noted above, as well as the hair on fire) I believe I'm probably pretty much about as immature as ever, so I'll just have to see if 22 can do anything with that. :) God has really blessed me with a good life, with many years of love, encouragement, instruction and correction, so despite the difficulties here and there, I look forward to many more years of the same, according to His will.

Over and out,

Jode

Life is full of oddities. :D Today is Saturday, the Saturday Belinda and I had finally planned on going garage sailing, to find a bike for Baillie and various other items. Week after week of beautiful, shiny, sunny, bright Saturdays, but no time for garage sales. And take a wild guess at what it's like out today on this Saturday. :D You got it, it's been raining for hours. We thought we wouldn't let it get us down, so off we went into the puddles, more like real sailing than garage sailing. :D We did manage to find two sales, after having not been able to find the ones we saw listed in the paper (oh where's the map when you need it?). We then went to a different area of town and drove around, but alas, to no avail. We then decided to pick up a bargain finder and do our hunting that way and after all, it was high time to return home for lunch. We did get a few things, I got an awesome quilt hoop (woohoo :D Yeah I'm nuts, but I like it), Belinda got some tupperware, a pictionary game and various other things. So home again home again, with the bottoms of our pant legs soaked 8 inches up.

Later,

Happy anniversary to Jord and Dor and a happy b-day to the little Genevers. :D

"The only fault Melville's enemies could find with his personal character was his impetuous and explosive temper. In regards to this he was his own best apologist when he said, "If my anger be from below trample upon it; but if from above let it rise!" If he was 'zealously affected,' it was always 'in a good thing'. No one could ever charge him with personal or narrow ambitions. It was always, as he once wrote, his own desire 'to be concealed in the crowd even when the field of honor appeared to ripen' before him"

Ho hum..I shall blog sometime, but as it is, I've spent enough time putting photos up, for me to not want to spend more here. :D So if you'd like to see a few recent photos click here and enjoy. Perhaps in time I may even title them so you have an idea who some of them are of..but here's a hint, many of them are cousins, haha.

God Bless, and have a wonderful Lord's day. :)
